We developed it with none other than our amazing colleagues at Rügenwalder Mühle, and the idea behind our cooperation was to make the food market a little greener. Minimal effort for maximum taste! Vegan bacon ready in a minute!

No matter whether you want to prepare vegan carbonara, a sandwich, or a full English breakfast: this vegan bacon is ready in no time! Simply pour 130 ml of hot water over the contents of the bag and stir well. The mix then needs to rest for at least 30 minutes, and in the meantime you can start chopping it up. As a last step, fry your bites in 3-4 tablespoons of rapeseed oil for 9-10 minutes over medium heat until crispy – and voilà!

Like all vegan mühlen products, very tasty. What I particularly like about the bacon bites is that they are dry and are soaked in water before being prepared. This is because they keep really well when dried, even when the pack is open, so I have a good supply of them at home when I need them spontaneously. A great concept at a very reasonable price!

Very close to the original, crisp and tasty, but only as a topping.

The preparation is very simple, but you have to go through two steps: First soak, then cross-fry. This ''bacon'' should only be served as a topping or snack, so that it is not stirred into other ingredients and thus becomes soggy and soft again. Then it still tastes good, but it's not real bacon.

I have tried many bacon alternatives and none of them come close to this one. The seasoning is incredibly tasty, as is the consistency. The bacon is crispy and incredibly tasty after just a short frying. A real recommendation!

Unbelievably bad!!! It doesn't even come close to the taste of bacon, nor does it even come close to the consistency. Small wheat potato chips that are supposed to be soaked in water for 30 minutes and simply have no taste at all. Terrible!!!!

Our vegan Mühlen Bacon Bites are based on wheat protein and really do need a certain amount of soaking and frying time for the flavor and texture to develop properly 🍳🌱 Nevertheless, it is of course a great shame that you were not impressed by the taste or texture.
