Then, mix with 2–3 tablespoons of canola oil and that's all, your "tuna" is ready! You can eat it by itself, prepare a vegan tuna salad or mix with fusilli for a nice pasta dish. Yesss, a lot of fish-alternatives are based on wheat gluten to give it the right consistency. 

For ideal storage, keep it in a dry place protected from light. 

The vegan tuna-alternative is a dry mix and therefore has a longer shelf life than it's competition from the refrigerated shelves. With 23 g per 100 g of prepared product it has a high protein content and does not contain any flavor enhancers and conservatives. Nice!

Holly Jolly, my prayers for a vegan tuna have been answered! The favorite dish of my pre-vegan days was always canned tuna (only in salmon, without oil) with capers and a touch of oil on bread, in a sandwich, with spiralis, with penne, as a wrap, with colorful peppers as a salad, or just plain. I have now mixed the vegan tuna according to the recipe (a little more water than specified), after 30 minutes I refined the whole thing with dusty ground nori leaves, capers and a touch of peanut oil,... Linseed oil if you eat it cold or rapeseed oil if it is still heated up will certainly also go well. And I have to say - a dream! I've just quickly reordered a few more packs (yes, the fear of loss ;P)!
