Their unique nutty flavour will make hemp seeds become one of your favourite porridge, muesli, and salad ingredients. Moreover, they are very high in fibre and protein! And luckily we have you covered with a practical and convenient one-kilo bag. Awesome, right?
Superfood with a history
The hemp plant is undoubtedly one of the oldest useful plants. Many thousands of years ago, hemp was already highly valued in its homeland of Central Asia because of its versatile benefits. Nowadays, the hemp plant is experiencing a real renaissance, as more and more people are discovering the benefits of the plant for themselves. In terms of nutrition, the focus is particularly on hemp seeds - if the term superfood had been known back then, you would have been the epitome of it! For example, the phosphorus they contain contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth. Unhulled, the hemp seeds remain crunchy and have an intense nutty flavour - ideal for enhancing your dishes with this topping.
Natural Nutrient bomb
Hemp seeds are a good source of protein and rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Unhulled hemp seeds are convincing in terms of their ingredients. They contain a full 20 g of protein per 100 g and provide you with all the essential amino acids - these are not produced by the body and must therefore be supplied through food. Such a complete source of protein is extremely rare in the plant world, which is why hemp seeds are also of particular interest to the vegans among us! Compared to hulled hemp seeds you can even count on a slightly higher fibre content due to the hull. Perfect to add to your porridge, salad or baking creations and give them a new touch!
Our special hemp seeds
As a superfood, hemp seeds are versatile and provide strong competition for well-known products such as chia seeds and linseeds. Our unhulled hemp seeds from organic cultivation come from allotment gardeners in Austria and are free from any additives. After harvesting, they end up in our practical value pack and make their way directly into your pantry. 100% natural, versatile - and super tasty.

Varieties & origins
Unpeeled
Unpeeled hemp seeds have a nutty and aromatic taste
Hemp, or industrial hemp, is a variety of the Cannabis sativa plant species that is grown specifically for the industrial uses of its derived products. 25 kinds of hemp are grown worldwide. Besides being used in the textile industry (hemp fibres are very resistant), hemp is cultivated for its seeds, which are incredibly rich in oil and nutrients. Hemp originates from China, where, in 2800 BC was already being used for making ropes. Today, commercial hemp's global acreage is between 60,000 and 100,000 hectares on average, with yearly fluctuations. In 2018, Cina, Canada, and the EU counted 150.000 hectares in total among them. More exact numbers are unknown, The numbers on the map date from 2017 and indicate the cultivation in hectares.
Production
Many have tried, but only one made it: at our tasting, we agreed on the best hemp mousse for you.
Hemp is easy to cultivate for two reasons: it is a fairly thick-growing plant that leaves no space to weeds
In late summer, the first seeds are ready to be harvested. The plant is just 10 cm tall, but, trust us, it is more than enough! Cosmetics, clothing and accessories, seeds for your muesli and bread: the incredible hemp can do all of this.
Everything spins around - but only for our hemp seeds. Before they can be processed into our delicious hemp cream, they are roasted in these drums.
Once roasted, the hemp seeds are now placed in these machines - they waited a long time for it! The resulting cream is then filled into jars and is then ready for your order.
