Did you know that Rügenwalder Mühle is the German market leader for meat substitute products? We have always been big fans of their meat alternatives, and a special collaboration has always been a dream of ours. There are already many great meat alternatives on the refrigerated shelves, but, as you know by now, we at KoRo are particularly knowledgeable about shelf life: this is why we created something to shake up the food market (once again): combining the top secret spice mixtures from Rügenwalder Mühle and our shelf life know-how, five dry mixtures were created, and one of them is our vegan mince, which you can easily mix yourself. All you need is 150 ml of hot water, that you have to stir into the mince; once you obtain a smooth mix, let it rest for 30 minutes and then cook it however you prefer – it in the pan with 2-3 tablespoons of rapeseed oil over medium heat is the easiest win! For ideal storage, keep it in a dry place protected from light. 

You can mix our Mühlen mince exactly when you need it because it has a longer shelf life than it's competition from the refrigerated shelves. With 23 g of protein and 8 g of fiber per 100 g of prepared product it has a high amount of protein and fiber. 

The exact recipe is of course top-secret, but what we can tell you that our vegan bacon bites are based on soy protein It's unique taste comes from the top-notch spice mix from Rügenwalder Mühle.

Unfortunately not possible for me

I really had to swallow as soon as I opened the pack. The smell was not pleasant. Even when frying, it didn't smell appetizing to me. I actually didn't like the taste at all. It has such a strong, over-seasoned taste of its own. Sorry, I won't be buying it again.

Vegan mill mince not organic

We are delighted with the taste, including the meatballs. However, I was a bit shocked when I realized that it wasn't an organic product. I completely overlooked this in my enthusiasm when I bought it. Apart from pesticides, genetic manipulation is a big issue in conventional soy cultivation... Unfortunately, I couldn't find any information about the quality of the ingredients.

Unfortunately not very tasty

I've just made myself a nice pan of rice, beans and chickpeas in tomato sauce. Everything was really nicely seasoned with Indian spices and it was delicious. As my husband is coming over tonight, I thought I'd add a "meaty" twist. Unfortunately, it doesn't taste good at all and the meat alternative has a really strange taste. You can also tell that there is a lot of caramel and the taste is really not delicious. We love to eat soy slices, simply marinated in broth, so we're used to vegan alternatives, but this is really really bad🙈 It's not even about the consistency of meat, or that we expect it to taste like meat, but it just doesn't taste good at all... won't be ordering it again.
