Sprouted porridge with a fruity note

Ever wondered what it feels like to twirl across the dance floor in a sweeping ball gown or elegant suit? It's about as epic as if you'd just had a taste of our fruity porridge and felt all the different nutty and fruity flavours dancing in your palate. We use seeds that have been germinated in water, namely oat flakes, sunflower and buckwheat, for this top-class composition. Their nutty, seedy appearance is accompanied by sweet dates, fruity figs, apricots and raisins. Almonds and golden flaxseeds round off this incredible mixture.

With tasty toppings: preparing porridge

Even if its true that flavour is the most important factor, we also want our food to look good. So let's go and make this porridge! For one portion, boil 200 ml of water or vegetable drink in a pot and then add the sprouted porridge mix. Now turn the heat down to medium, put a lid on and stir regularly. The oatmeal is ready when it has reached a creamy consistency. For us, this takes about 7-12 minutes. Now it's time to decorate, which is where we like to make a big splash instead of a big spill: add a good amount of nut butter, soy protein crispies, chocolate drops and nuts on top and let it melt in your mouth while it's still warm! By the way, you can also easily prepare overnight oats with the sprouted oatmeal mix. Put the sprouted porridge in the fridge overnight with milk or vegetable drink. In the morning, top with fresh fruit and enjoy your breakfast!

What does sprouted mean?

Sprouting is when we put the oats, sunflower seeds and buckwheat in water for several days so that they sprout. As the seeds soak up the water, the germ metabolism is stimulated. This makes the seed mixture taste even nuttier and slightly bitter. Sprouting also has various benefits, read more about this in our blog article on sprouted muesli. Bitter porridge you say?! No worries, thanks to our dried fruits, the porridge still tastes pleasantly sweet. Refined sugar has no place here!

The fruity porridge that tastes like a poem <3

You probably didn't see this love story coming. One spoonful and you're already in love. Well, maybe our sprouted strawberry porridge or the cocoa protein porridge can come close. But nothing else really! And don't worry: your creamy secret shall be in good hands with us and the KoRo family. Creamy porridge, nutty-fruity taste: buy our new fruit porridge now!

Questions & answers: Organic sprouted fruit porridge 1kg
No search results.
Yes, the ingredients of our sprouted porridge treat are organic!
Porridge is the English and - admittedly - fancier sounding word for oatmeal. In the USA, porridge is also called oatmeal. Originally, porridge comes from Scotland. To make it, oatmeal is mixed with water or milk(alternative) and heated on the stove to a creamy, thick mixture. Porridge is often topped with fresh or dried fruit, nut puree and chocolate drops or cocoa nibs.
100 g of our fruit porridge contain 482 kcal. Per serving of 50 g, that's 260.5 kcal. We have listed all nutritional values on your product packaging and in the table next to or below the product description.
You can make porridge in the microwave or on the stove. For the microwave, mix 50 grams with about 200 ml of water or vegetable drink. Then put the bowl with the oats in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. We recommend that you heat the porridge in small stages of one minute each. Afterwards, stir the porridge briefly with a spoon and put it back into the microwave. This way your breakfast will be creamy and you will avoid that the porridge "explodes" in the microwave. If you want to prepare your porridge over the stove, first boil 200 ml of water or vegetable drink in a pot and then add the sprouted oatmeal mix. Now turn the temperature down to medium, put the lid on the stove and stir regularly. The oats are ready when they have reached the perfect consistency for you. For us, this takes about 7-12 minutes, depending on the stove. Now decorate with your favorite toppings like our soya protein cripsies or chocolate drops and enjoy!
There are countless possibilities for porridge toppings. A little fresh yogurt on the side, creamy nut puree to drizzle over it, mix in fresh or dried fruit - everything is possible here. For a chocolaty combination, we recommend the peanut butter cocoa hazelnut, crunchy cocoa nibs in panela and toasted coconut chips. Enjoy your meal!
You can use a milk of your choice or water for the porridge. We love our porridge especially with vegetable drinks. Here oat drink or peanut drink is wonderful! We use about 200 ml of milk per 50 g serving.
When sprouting, we put the oatmeal, sunflower seeds and buckwheat in water for several days so that they grow sprouts. After the seed has soaked up water, the germ metabolism is stimulated. This makes the seed mixture taste even nuttier and slightly bitter. Don't worry, we make up for that with dates, figs & coconut blossom sugar though. Sprouting also has several benefits, you can read more about this in our blog article about sprouted muesli.
There is a lot of deliciousness in here: Our germinated seeds, i.e. oatssunflower seeds and buckwheat, which taste nutty and kernel-like, make up the largest part. Don't worry, it will still be pleasantly sweet, thanks to our dried fruits: we've added datesfigsapricots and raisins for a pleasant sweetness. Almonds and golden flax seeds then give the fruit porridge the final touch!
Above all, a balanced and varied diet is healthy. Dividing food per se into good, bad, healthy and unhealthy therefore misses the mark in our opinion. Instead, we say: "Balance is key!". In any case, our vegan fruit porridge scores as a delicious, vegan oatmeal option. It has a high fiber content and convinces us with its fruity and pithy taste every morning.

Please more info/ why and when an article is available again - oatmeal does not come from so far away...

Quality and taste are good I ordered them as an alternative to gluten-free oatmeal, which has not been available for a long time - I don't like that at all!!!
