Buy now: Lightly roasted and blanched hazelnuts 1kg
Are you a sweet cat and don't like the bitter touch of our untreated hazelnuts? We went ahead and produced a blanched version of our hazelnuts just for you! This way, you have your hazelnuts without the peel and with all the tasty nutty flavour — and you directly get a full kilo of them!
What makes our blanched hazelnuts special
Hazelnut kernels are a real enrichment for every kitchen and bakery. To help you become the baking queen or king at the next baking contest, we set out to find the best hazelnut kernels - and we found them. To take their delicate flavour to the next level, we blanched them and packed them in a big bag. Because sometimes size just matters!
The perfect combination: hazelnut and chocolate
Of course, you can make chocolate without hazelnuts, but for absolute indulgence, we can't do without nuts! It's not for nothing that we all love our date and hazelnut spread and can never get enough of our hazelnut and chocolate energy balls! Our absolute favourite recipe with crunchy hazelnuts and aromatic cocoa are our vegan hazelnut muffins. They are an autumnal temptation and combine everything that attracts anyone with a sweet tooth. From the first bite: nutty aroma, melt-in-the-mouth chocolate and a slight sweetness. We are going nuts! Of course, you can also integrate your hazelnut kernels into your vegan cakes and cookies for delicious results. Our KoRo tip of the day: add a spoonful of hazelnut butter to the chocolate icing and you have a nutty, creamy chocolate experience! Thanks to the creamy brown colour, blanched hazelnuts are a real eye-catcher, so it can seem almost like a waste to use them in baked goods - but just almost, because once you taste your hazelnut cake, brownie or muffins, you'll know that using them was the right decision!
Start your day with hazelnuts
We know that eating sweet desserts with hazelnuts all day can get repetitive. But do you want to give up hazelnut kernels completely? We certainly wouldn't want to! Our hazelnut kernels find their place in our breakfast bowl every morning. Starting the day with a fruity bite is child's play since our baked apple porridge. For an extra nutty taste sensation, we recommend adding ground hazelnuts in addition to whole hazelnut kernels. Of course, you can also combine your hazelnut kernels with spelt flakes, coconut chips, walnuts, cinnamon, coconut oil and agave syrup to make a hipster granola. With a breakfast mix like this in your cupboard, you'll be lying in bed at night all excited and will be dreaming about the next day's breakfast all night!

Climate impact
At KoRo, we analyse the greenhouse gas emissions that are produced during the production of our snacks. These include, among other things, CO2, methane and nitrous oxide. Our hard-working sustainability team collects all the information to calculate a value: the so-called CO2 equivalents. We are now passing this information on to you so that you can make informed purchasing decisions and keep an eye on your personal carbon footprint. We also use these valuable findings ourselves, to try to make our supply chains even smarter in the future and monitor our CO2 footprint.
CO₂ emissions by product
To make the work of our sustainability team easier, we have teamed up with the company Cozero. They support us with their decarbonisation software to calculate the CO2 emissions of our products. Our products go through a lot before they make their way into your pantry or snack bowl, so there is a lot to take into consideration: production, packaging, and logistics – to name just the big steps.

CO₂ emission per product in comparison
Would you like to find out how well your favourite snack stacks up against other products in terms of carbon footprint? Say no more! To create comparability, we calculated the CO₂ emissions per 1 kg of our products and compared them with other products that end up on many people's plates every day, such as cheese, tofu, and many more. We also included coffee as a drink for comparison. So no matter if it is your favourite snack or your go-to kitchen product, you are now able to see exactly how it performs in our “CO₂ per kg of product” ranking.
Comparison of CO₂ emissions per product in kg
Disclaimer: Different methods (comparison products) - The CO2 emissions of the non-KoRo products come from a different data source. Therefore, there may be differences between their evaluation method and the evaluation of KoRo products.

Standard Extra
Allow us to introduce you to the queen of hazelnuts, the Standard Extra! Due to their special size of over 15 mm, these hazelnuts are considered very high-quality and special.
Hazelnuts find their perfect climatic location on the Turkish Black Sea coast. Therefore it is no wonder that Turkey is not only the country with the historical origin of the hazelnut, but also the one that grows and harvests the most hazelnuts until today! Proud 675 thousand tons of hazelnuts, of the slightly more than 1 million tons of annual harvest, come from Turkey. Other producing countries are Italy, Azerbaijan, the USA and a few other countries.

Thank you for your detailed feedback on our lightly roasted and blanched hazelnuts! We're sorry that they didn't quite meet your expectations. We take your criticism very seriously and want to understand what exactly you didn't like. The fact that the nuts were a little too soft and less aromatic for your taste is an important indication for us. We roast our hazelnuts gently to preserve their natural oils and nutrients. It is possible that this gentle roasting process is a little less intense for some tastes. You have already tried to adjust the taste by re-roasting. All the best, your KoRo team
