The popcorn of the Incas: light, crunchy and full of nutrients. Puffed quinoa is a real allrounder: it's tasty and completely gluten-free. It can't be missing as a topping on your daily muesli. Not without reason, it was the staple food of warriors from Peru.

Under pressure and heat, quinoa gets puffed and the outcome is a light and fluffy grain which will be a favourite of yours. Mixed with cereals or oats creates the perfect porridge bowl; but it's also fantastic in yogurt or baked goods.

White quinoa

Nowadays, white quinoa is the most common variety. Thanks to its gentle nutty taste, this grain can be combined with both savoury and sweet dishes.

In 2018, more than 250,000 tons of quinoa were produced worldwide, and the market for quinoa is constantly growing. 95% of global production comes from Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador. The quinoa grain originates from the Andes, and it was a staple food of the Incas. Quinoa belongs to the Amaranthaceae family and is therefore gluten-free. Moreover, this pseudo grain is rich in protein, as well as unsaturated fatty acids and minerals.

Quinoa has a nutty, mild flavor that is particularly versatile in sweet dishes.
White quinoa is the most common and is usually cheaper than other varieties. The taste is slightly nutty. Red quinoa tastes quite similar, but is a bit firmer to the bite and has a minimally longer cooking time. Red quinoa, similar to the black version, also takes a bit longer to cook. Because it holds its shape and looks pretty, you're best off using it as a highlight for salads. Puffed quinoa is also known as the popcorn of the Incas and looks great in your breakfast.
A healthy lifestyle focuses on a balanced and varied diet. Our Quinoa Pops score especially as a delicious, light and airy topping on your yogurt and can also be used, for example, as a substitute for conventional, usually additionally sweetened granola.

Quinoa belongs to the group of so-called "pseudocereals" and is therefore naturally gluten-free. However, since quinoa comes into contact with machines that process other gluten-containing foods during the manufacturing process, it may contain traces of gluten.

A lot of food for few calories

Puffed quinoa tastes roasted, malty and at the same time light and very slightly sweet without containing sugar or fat. Great in yoghurt, quark, milk, with a little honey or snacked on its own

Great, I like it very much!

Never tried it before and now love it very much! I use it as an alternative to muesli, it has little taste of its own and is easy to use.

Very good muesli alternative

Already ordered twice. Great for enhancing muesli or directly as an alternative. Not quite as bitter in taste as amaranth.

I prefer the taste of amaranth, but I have just tested quinoa for that reason, but I will stick with amaranth
