Green, green, green are all my favourite foods, green, green, green is everything I like! So here's to our organic Matcha Mizu, which not only looks really smart as a Matcha tea or Matcha latte, but also gives your food that extra kick of green. Intense in colour, smell and taste, it will make you an absolute Matcha gourmet. Just like coffee, matcha contains caffeine. But in terms of taste, the two powders are worlds apart: Matcha is characterised by its tangy, intensely creamy taste, which is not as bitter as coffee. We have a great alternative to conventional pick-me-ups for you, true to colour and of course in organic quality. Buy our Matcha Mizu powder now for your next summer (iced) latte!

Green powder from Japan

Matcha can look back on a long tradition: as early as the 6th century, the green powder is said to have established itself as a remedy within the framework of traditional Chinese medicine. Then, however, the tradition fell into oblivion for a long time, until Buddhist monks emigrated to Japan and took the tea plant with them, including their knowledge of the ceremony. Since then, matcha has become increasingly popular, and we too are fans of the green tea.

Recipes for Matcha tea, (iced) matcha latte and other specialities

Since matcha is not a protected term, there are many different qualities. Generally, a distinction is made between ceremony, premium and cooking quality. With our Matcha Mizu, you get real premium cooking quality. Perfect if you like to rock the baking apron and use the green tea in your next creations. What can you use our Matcha Mizu for? The obvious answers would be: Matcha tea and matcha latte. Especially in summer time iced matcha latte can be a most refreshing summer drink. For this, you traditionally use different accessories that are specially designed for the Japanese tea ceremony. In our FAQs, however, we have also summarised how to prepare matcha tea or matcha latte without a broom or bowl. Apart from that, matcha can do much more. With its unique taste and great colour, you should definitely try our green matcha cookies, or make your own matcha avocado vanilla ice cream. And if you're feeling adventurous, try our heavenly Matcha Muffins with pistachio and chocolate frosting (also works in cake form). All these treats are perfect for after barbecue summer desserts.

Buy organic matcha

Questions & answers: Organic Mizu matcha 80g
No search results.
Both matcha and coffee contain caffeine. But that's actually where the similarities end. Because while classic coffee is made from the ground coffee bean, matcha is a type of green tea made from the ground leaves of the matcha plant. The effect is also different, because - surprise! - Matcha actually has a higher caffeine content than coffee. Nevertheless, the green drink is milder in taste than its black competitor. Preparation is equally simple for both. Coffee and matcha are traditionally infused with hot water and brewed. Matcha tea, however, must be left to steep for a while, while coffee can be enjoyed immediately after brewing. Which is ultimately better, you have to decide. We think both are great! PS: Whether vanilla, chocolate or hazelnut flavored coffee, you will of course find everything in our range.
Matcha' is Japanese and means 'ground tea'. This variety of green tea is used for Japanese tea ceremonies. Matcha is obtained from the young tender leaf tips of Tencha tea, without stems and stalks. The harvest is dried and then ground until it becomes the bright green, very fine powder.
It's best to store your match in an airtight container and in the refrigerator.
Healthy is above all a balanced and varied diet. Our Matcha scores as a delicious alternative to coffee, for example in your Matcha Latte.
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) speaks of a maximum of 400 mg of caffeine that should be consumed per day. Pregnant women are recommended 200 mg. In principle, there is nothing against a cup of matcha tea, but if you have any concerns, you should check with your doctor. Basically, it is better to drink in moderation than in masses.
If you want to make matcha tea the traditional way, you actually need a special bowl and brooms made especially for the tea ceremony. Because most of us do not have this at home, here is a recipe in the simple variant: For the preparation, take about 1-2 grams of matcha from the can and put it in a heat-resistant bowl. Then stir the mixture until smooth, for example, a whisk or a milk frother is suitable for this purpose. Once the lumps are gone, you can add 70 ml of hot water and stir the mixture again quickly. As soon as the matcha is frothy, you can enjoy it. Add some sweetener, such as date syrup, as needed and you're good to go! You can also find a delicious recipe for Matcha Hazelnut Latte in our Food Journal.
Yep, matcha contains caffeine, even more than coffee. The difference: The caffeine unfolds more slowly, but also more long-lasting. The effect is therefore usually described as more gentle.
The Matcha powder is obtained from the tea plant. Initially, the cultivation is the same as for other types of tea. However, the tea plant is shaded during matcha production. Why is this done? The tea plant is shaded to provide an increase in chlorophyll and amino acid production. This results in the unique flavor and green color. After harvesting, the tea leaves are dried and then traditionally ground in a stone mill.
With its unique color and distinctive taste, the door to the recipe world is wide open: For example, you can try your hand at our green matcha cookies, or make your own matcha ice cream. At the next event, you will definitely create an eye-catcher when you bring the Matcha Muffins with pistachio and chocolate frosting, alternatively, of course, you can also use the cake pan. And for the color-matching drink, there's also a matcha hazelnut latte.
Weight loss goals are primarily achieved through a calorie deficit, not through food consumed. If you love our matcha as much as we do, you can incorporate it into your diet as a pick-me-up. As is often the case, quantity makes all the difference!
To describe the taste of Matcha is not so easy. For all those who do not like the taste of normal green tea: Matcha tastes a little different. Tart, but not very bitter, creamy, intense and even fruity or nutty, depending on the variety and growing region. Our Mizu variety is perfect in your tea or Matcha Hazelnut Latte.
Once you've opened your matcha, you can store it in the refrigerator for at least a month without losing flavor.
If you're thinking: Japan. Wrong thought! Probably as early as the 6th century, the Chinese recognized the potential of the bright green powder used as a medicinal plant. It was not until some Buddhist monks emigrated to Japan that they brought seeds of the tea plant with them. Our Matcha in the Mizu variety also comes from Japan.

Exactly the product our family was looking for.

Exactly the product our family was looking for. Very satisfied with the processing, the texture and color are totally fine (not deep green, but still quite ok), the taste and smell meet our preferences exactly. In our opinion, the price-performance ratio is also right, as other suppliers often either offer products of too high quality (and too high a price) or unsuitable products that are also sold very cheaply.

Good product, but as I'd never bought any before, I can't compare. However, I'm very satisfied with it, it's good quality, tastes good and the container is very practical.

Yummy😍

A very tasty matcha. Not at all bitter or fishy. Nice and creamy/foamy after stirring. I can only recommend it 🥰 I've also had more expensive matcha but I actually like this one more. In my opinion, the quantity and price are very gut❤️🍵🌿
