Stevia – what is it?
Stevia is a sweetener that comes from the Stevia rebaudiana plant. The plant is also known as candyleaf, sweetleaf or sugarleaf due to stevias natural sweetness. Stevia mainly consists of steviol glycosides. The plant originally comes from Paraguay, in South America, where it has been used as a sweetener for centuries.
