As we thought that roasted almonds were no longer enough, we have decided to add one more nut to the Christmas snack family. Pecans are often considered walnuts' unimpressive cousin, but we completely disagree with this superficial view; pecan nuts are soft and delicate in texture, aromatic in taste, and very versatile. In short, we believe they have deserved a spot among our Christmas nuts selection. A gentle sugar embrace has perfectly matched pecans' unique taste and consistency. But, unlike the caramelised pecan kernels, which were already available in our shop, these nuts are roasted at a high temperature and glazed only with granulated sugar: this creates the perfect soft caramelised nuts encased in a thick and crunchy shell – just like at the Christmas market! For our roasted pecans we only use whole pecan kernels of the best quality.

Pecans can be a part of a healthy lifestyle due to their ingredients. Since our pecans are glazed, they contain sugar. Sugar, as you surely know, should not be consumed in excessive quantities.

How do I store the roasted pecans?

To keep the pecans as long as possible, it is best to store them in a cool and dry place and protect them from direct sunlight.

Do the caramelized nuts contain gluten?

You've been looking for delicious gluten-free sweets for a long time? Then pay close attention: Our caramelized pecans are roasted with sugar only. Since we don't use any flavor enhancers or preservatives, our Salted Caramel Nuts contain no gluten.

How can I make roasted nuts myself?

You don't need a complicated recipe to caramelize pecans yourself. All you need are a few whole pecan kernels and a little cane sugar. Simply caramelize the sugar in a pan over heat with a little water and toss the pecans in, stirring constantly. Alternatively, you can caramelize the nuts in the oven or microwave. If you want to avoid refined sugar, you can also use sugar alternatives such as honey or agave syrup. This works and tastes at least as good!

What is the shelf life of roasted pecan kernels?

The shelf life of our roasted nuts is at least 12 months if stored correctly.

Are the glazed pecans vegan?

Yes, ours are 100% vegan. The pecans are only glazed with sugar and therefore contain no animal additives.

What is special about the roasted pecan kernels?

Anyone can do roasted almonds! Our new caramelized pecans take the roasted nut game to a new level. The fine-buttery taste of pecans meets caramel sweetness. For our candied nuts, we use only whole pecans of the best quality. We deliberately avoid any additives such as preservatives and flavor enhancers.

Can I eat pecans during pregnancy?

Even during pregnancy you can eat pecans without any problems. Since our pecans are roasted in sugar, you should be careful not to consume too much sugar, especially in the case of gestational diabetes, and consciously allow yourself small amounts of sweets.
