Yes, our popcorn is vegan. That's because we use coconut oil instead of butter in our recipe.

And this idea became a real treasure, the variety has convinced us completely. Instead of butter, we used coconut oil in the recipe, so that our snack can also inspire vegans. Our popcorn contains only ingredients that naturally do not contain gluten. Nevertheless, depending on the growing region, unknowingly contamination with gluten-containing grain may occur during harvesting or processing.

What kind of corn is used for popcorn?

Keep an eye out when shopping for corn, because not all corn is suitable for popcorn. What you want is puffed corn, also called pearl corn. A hard husk and a soft kernel are essential here for the "pop" in the corn: When heated, the corn expands due to its high water content and ensures that the husk finally cracks and pops open! The water evaporates at lightning speed and the starch in the corn foams up, which provides the fluffy white look.
