Don't be annoyed by their darker colour, that's exactly what they should look like. Buy 1 kg of dried wild apricots now!
Where are apricots from?
Apricots have been known for a long time. Apricot seeds from the Copper Age have been found in an archaeological dig in Armenia. Nowadays, they are mainly grown in Turkey, where we also source our apricots. The apricot is a stone fruit and is part of the rose family. Through careful drying, the already aromatic sweetness is complemented by a light sour note which you will love. With no further addition of sulphur or sugar, you get a wonderfully fruity and natural aromatic fruit treat.
Recipes with dried wild apricots
Whether as a snack, in muesli, yoghurt, dessert or as a porridge topping, dried apricots are an all-rounder in your kitchen. They also go well with savoury dishes such as lentil salad, curry, stew, rice dishes or meat, for example lamb. If you are a fan of jam and chutney, you can also use the orange fruits. For those who like it especially sweet, we have already prepared something really tasty in the shop: apricots in dark chocolate. Try it!

Dried, freeze-dried, puffed - aren't they the same thing? What's the difference? We have all three varieties in our range and explain how the different names come about.

Our dried apricots naturally contain sugar and provide a sugar content of 43g per 100g. Since the fruits are naturally sweet enough, we have not added any sugar.
When you're not snacking on them on their own or adding them to your muesli or porridge, you can also make apricots wrapped in bacon, add them to your cake or muffins, or serve them as a savoury accompaniment to meat. The orange fruits also score in energy ball recipes or in salads!
To lose weight, first and foremost, a steady calorie deficit is required. Our apricots provide 253 kcal per 100 g.
In small quantities, you can give dried apricots to birds or dogs. It is best to soak them first. However, please talk about it with your veterinarian – better safe than sorry.
We source our apricots from Turkey.
As far as we know, there is nothing against the consumption of wild apricots during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, it is best to talk about it with your doctor.
Our dried apricots may vary a bit in softness depending on the drying time. In general, however, they are somewhat harder than the conventional variety.
What is healthy is a balanced diet that meets your needs and an active lifestyle. With 7,7 g of fibre per 100 g, dried apricots have a high fibre content. As usual, you can find all information about the ingredients and nutritional values in the product specification next to or below the product text in our online shop.
The dried wild apricots are unsulfured, hence their slightly darker colour.
Wild apricots are significantly less sweet than cultivated apricots and have a more tart taste.

Thank you for your candid feedback on our dried wild apricots. It's a shame to hear that they didn't meet your expectations, but we take your criticism very seriously. The tartness and slightly harder texture are typical characteristics of wild apricots, which can be intensified by the gentle drying process. However, the taste should not be unpleasantly sour. Your feedback helps us to constantly improve our product range. Perhaps there are other dried fruits in our range that suit your taste better. All the best, your KoRo team ❤️
