Under pressure and heat, quinoa gets puffed and the outcome is a light and fluffy grain which will be a favourite of yours. Mixed with cereals or oats creates the perfect porridge bowl; but it's also fantastic in yogurt or baked goods.

Varieties & origins
White quinoa
Nowadays, white quinoa is the most common variety. Thanks to its gentle nutty taste, this grain can be combined with both savoury and sweet dishes.
In 2018, more than 250,000 tons of quinoa were produced worldwide, and the market for quinoa is constantly growing. 95% of global production comes from Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador. The quinoa grain originates from the Andes, and it was a staple food of the Incas. Quinoa belongs to the Amaranthaceae family and is therefore gluten-free. Moreover, this pseudo grain is rich in protein, as well as unsaturated fatty acids and minerals.
