Inspired by the American original, the peanut butter cup, we have created many delicious chocolate and nut creations for you. For example:
- Salted peanut butter cups
- Salty hazelnut butter cups
- Strawberry and cashew butter cups
- Salted pistachio butter cups
Why not try a little chocolate tasting of our nut butter cups for yourself and your loved ones! Perhaps with aromatic coffee or an invigorating cup of tea? From our peanut cups to our salty hazelnut pralines and our fruity-nutty cashew-strawberry creation, our nut chocolates are usually vegan and always incredibly delicious.
Better with (nut)butter: chocolates to melt your heart
The story of our salted pistachio butter cups begins with their peanut-based predecessors from the beginning of the 20th century – or, to be more precise, with Harry Burnett Reese. He was urgently seeking work to feed his sixteen children and finally came across an advert for a job in a dairy. His employer: no less a figure than Milton S. Hershey, an American entrepreneur who is best known today as the founder of the Hershey Chocolate Company. When Reese started working in Hershey's chocolate production, he had the idea of making his own chocolate and soon after that he founded his own company. He started filling chocolate with peanut butter. He called his creation Peanut Butter Cups and they are still a real success today. And rightly so, as we at KoRo think, because the combination of crunchy dark chocolate and a cream of ground peanuts is incomparably delicious. We couldn't resist either and created our own vegan version of the classic with our salted peanut butter cups.
Not just peanuts: different varieties of nut butter cups
With all of this nut butter in our range, it was impossible for us not to experiment. So we filled our chocolate cups with our favourite fillings and developed one sophisticated nut butter cup after another: for example, our salted hazelnut cups – a hazelnut praline that envelops your palate with its fine nougat note. And what do you think of our exquisite pistachio nut butter cups, refined with a pinch of sea salt, or our fruity, nutty cashew & strawberry cups? Admittedly, with the latter, we ourselves aren't quite sure what's nut and what's fruit, but all our creations have one thing in common: they are all deliciously unique and usually vegan.
Make your own nut butter cups
Would you prefer nut butter cups with a filling made from our cashew butter banana bread? No problem, you can easily make these delicious nut chocolates yourself. Choose a suitable mould and a type of chocolate. Perhaps our white organic coconut sugar chocolate drops, Ruby chocolate drops or chocolate drops with xylitol? And off you go: melt the chocolate and pour it into the moulds. Then put them in the fridge for a short time while you prepare the filling. If you prefer biscuit dough to chocolate, you can of course also make your nut butter cups out of dough. Everything you need: We have already provided flour, sugar alternatives, spices and other baking ingredients for you in our baking department.
KoRo nut butters vs. processed nut products
Now for the filling. You need nut butter, but wherever you look, all you see are additives? No need to panic. Our nut butters are made from 100% nuts without any ingredients you can't pronounce. Conventional nut butters, on the other hand, usually contain added fats and sugars. So you can use our nut butters to make your own nut butter filling. You can also add the nut butter pure to your nut butter cups or mix it with crushed biscuits. How about a filling made from ground oat biscuits with chocolate drops mixed with white almond butter? The choice is yours:
- Pecan nut butter
- Walnut butter
- Brown almond butter
- Cinnamon & vanilla almond butter
- Peanut butter hazelnut and cocoa
- Macadamia butter rich roast
After you have filled your cups with the nutty mixture, close them with liquid chocolate and let them set. Your special nut butter cups are ready to eat, give as a gift or to decorate cakes, cupcakes and more.

What is special about KoRo nut butter cups?

- Organic peanut butter cups
- Organic strawberry and cashew butter cups

Where do nut butter cups come from?
Nut Butter Cups were invented in America at the beginning of the 20th century by H. B. Reese. He worked in the chocolate production of the Hershey Chocolate Company and, inspired by his work, soon developed his own chocolate. When he started filling it with peanut butter, he found that the peanut butter cups or penny cups, as he also called them, sold well. We have also created our own vegan version of this peanutty classic: our salted peanut butter cups are a must try.
Are nut butter cups vegan?
At KoRo, we make a point of offering many of our products in a vegan version. For example, we have many vegan bars and energy balls. Our nut butter cups are usually vegan, so that all nut fans can enjoy these little delicacies. You can always check the individual product description and ingredient list to make sure.
Do nut butter cups affect digestion?
As with all things, the right balance is important when eating our chocolates. A balanced and needs-based diet is primarily healthy. However, some of our nut butter cups are sweetened with maltitol. When snacking, you should therefore bear in mind that sweeteners can have a laxative effect if consumed in excess.
Do KoRo nut butter cups contain gluten?
As a rule, our nut butter cups do not contain any ingredients that contain gluten. However, as we cannot completely rule out the possibility of unintentional cross-contamination with gluten-containing grains during production, we advise people with coeliac disease or severe gluten intolerance not to consume our nut butter cups. If you are looking for gluten-free alternatives, then take a look at our gluten-free range. There you will find gluten-free bars and much more!
